Are You G? is a friendly, casual invitation hoping to bridge the gaps between people who want to connect and enjoy life in the moment.
It’s making plans happen — minus the pressure, uncertainty, and inconvenience.
Making G Happen
Being a college dormer back in 2017, I often found myself having long breaks or sudden free nights, where I just wanted to find friends to hang out with.
I didn’t like the uncertainty and the hassle that came with inviting friends one by one through Messenger or text. 🙅🏽♂
I thought it would be cool if there was an app that would show you who among your friends are free to hang out at the moment. 💡
It turns out, I wasn’t alone.
Later that year I was able to share the idea with 3 friends, now also co-founders. Since then we’ve been working part-time alongside our studies, trying to bring it to life.
Fast forward to 2019 ⏩ we all had day jobs, and apparently still had the same problem — even as yuppies.
Basically, I wanted an app that would make a “hang out soon” actually happen, and that’s how G was born. 👶

After 5 whole years - with a supposed launch in 2020 that was disrupted by a global pandemic, changing life priorities, and everything in between, Vince and I still didn't want to let this go.
So we worked on rebuilding the whole app from scratch for about a year, and on August 8, 2024, we've finally launched to the public. We hope you enjoy using Are You G? 🤞

Get to Know Us
Titles don't really mean much at this stage, but we placed them anyway for simplicity. Basically, we're a builder-duo trying to make Are You G? a reality. We collaborate on everything about the app from UX/UI to branding, but we have our focus areas below.
